No one knew that assets could be monitored in real-time.
That inventory could be handled without being blindfolded, that humans need not fear technology aids, that endpoints could be parked all around the perimeter for continuous data, that data could be fast and actionable (both), and that maintenance could be proactive and that a lot could be fixed way before it started to break.
Most of all – no one knew that they would have to stop making products. That one day the service and experience parts of a product would be more than footnotes, but deeply embedded inside products, and capable of earning revenues.
We did not know that either. But we know it now. We have, in fact, been there and done that – in a first-hand and courageous way. At our parent company’s factory floors, we have done all the dogfooding of the latest in manufacturing disruptions.

Cut to Tomorrow
Factories are becoming smart, intelligent and creative. They are finding out that with timely- and well-mapped- injection of AI, automation, IoT, CAD, 3D Printing, Cloud, Blockchain, etc. Now, machines do not break down out-of-the-blue, and time-to-market is shrinking fast and duplication has become an unheard-of word. Today, accidents are limited to spilled coffee.
As minds and hands in factories are moving from low-value work to high-value impact areas, factories and supply-chains are not linear anymore. Everything is modernized, integrated, orchestrated and revenue oriented. Even process endpoints can share insights on what’s going right and what’s possibly set to go wrong. Now, products are built as services – with real-time and contextual data that customers happily pay for and use as an experience.
At Staqo, that ‘Tomorrow’ is already ‘Today’.
